July 15th, Wednesday

Because of the high temperatures and humidity, we will be opening earlier this week. For tomorrow, Thursday, July 16th, we will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for U-picking blackberries and retail sales of blackberries, red raspberries, and strawberries.

We have created a better parking layout to help with the traffic during our busier times.

During these high heat and humid days, it is difficult to maintain the quality of some of our berries to our desired standards. These conditions foster pests such as botrytis (gray mold) and certain insects. Our team of pickers are very professional and efficient and cull out any questionable berries while harvesting. However, sometimes the gray mold may not be visible and bloom out a day or two after harvested. Gray mold is not toxic but you certainly do not want to eat it. If you happen to experience any quality issues with our products, please bring to our attention. We want you to be happy and informed!

Our goal at Tanglewood Berry Farm is to grow healthy plants with nutrient dense berries without the use of synthetic pesticides. Not using synthetic pesticides certainly elevates the level of difficulty, especially during these extreme weather events. We believe a pesticide free and nutrient dense product is more important than product cosmetics and higher yields.

We look forward to seeing you all soon and thank you for your support!
