We really enjoy being able to offer a Pick-Your-Own here in Fort Wayne. It's a fun experience and we want to make sure that it's safe too. Our food safety plan requires all farm visitors to follow a few rules.
A field access pass must be purchased at the farm stand before entering the field to pick your own berries. The cost of a pass is $2 per person. Children aged 3 and under may enter for free but must be accompanied by an adult with a pass at all times. The cost of a pass is applied to the cost of berries you pick that day. For example, a family of 4 pays $8 for picking passes. They pick 3 pounds of fruit @ $5/pound. When they leave the field, they will only have to pay $7 ($15 - $8) for the berries.
We recommend bringing your own picking container. We do have cardboard picking baskets you can purchase at the farm stand for $1. Pricing and availability of pick-your-own and ready-picked fruit depends on many factors. Since the weather can impact the farm, we recommend you gives us a call at 260-416-4464 to confirm we will be open during posted open hours.
Our picking areas are handicap accessible and child-friendly. We encourage and support group events, school tours and fundraising efforts that support our community. If you have any questions, please send us a message.
